APPEARANCE
Theme
Remembered across every page.
PRIVACY & SAFETY
Hide the screen when I look away
The moment you click into another tab or app, this page goes blurry. It clears the second you come back. So if you walk away with your laptop open, nobody can read a name off it.
Quick exit
Press Esc twice to leave immediately for a neutral page, replacing this one in your history so the back button will not return here.
Leave no trace
Journal content is held in memory instead of being saved to this browser or your account. Closing the tab removes that journal content. Sign-in and session data may remain on this computer. Your theme and the two switches below are also kept on the device, so you do not have to set them again. For a shared or borrowed laptop. You will need to export a file to keep your journal content, and the app will stop you before you close with unsaved work.
Astrological observations
Astrological observations are optional and appear at the bottom of the Philosophies page.
Where your data lives
Your text records are saved to your account in the cloud so they can sync when you sign in on another device. A copy is also kept on this device. Photographs currently remain on the device where you added them. Your account and sign-in are handled by Supabase; your password is stored there as a one-way hash, so nobody here can read it. Exporting a backup is still worth doing because that copy is yours to keep.
YOUR DATA
Save a readable copy
Your written records, laid out as a document you can read, print, or keep as a PDF. Profile and timeline photographs are not included. The copy may contain private information about you and other people, so store or share it carefully. Choose Save as PDF as the printer.
Backup file, for restoring
A single file Import reads back exactly. It holds the app records saved on this device, including every person, date, flag, note, standard, journal entry, setting, quiz and reflection answer, and profile and timeline photographs. It does not include your password, sign-in session, or an unfinished check-in. The photographs are usually most of its size. This file can contain private information about you and the people you have written about. Anyone with it may be able to read or restore it, so store it carefully and share it only when you intend to. It is written for the app rather than for you, so your computer may not know what to open it with. That is expected.
Restore from a backup
Replaces what is here now with the contents of the file. While you are signed in, restored text records may sync to your account and other devices.
Clear the sample people
Removes the example profiles so you can start on real names.
Start fresh
Removes active List data from this device and your account, then leaves you signed in with an empty List. Routine provider backups may retain copies until they expire, and records required for legal or financial purposes may remain.
Delete account and everything
Closes your account and removes its active data from this device and our servers. You will be signed out and cannot sign back in. Routine provider backups may retain copies until they expire, and records required for legal or financial purposes may remain.
